On September 23rd, 2023 the Wiregrass Black Chamber of Commerce held their first ever Business Expo in Dothan, Alabama at the Dothan Housing Authorities Event Room. The event featured business from around the Wiregrass Area, Guest Speaker Maurice Scott an Attorney & President/owner of Credit USA and TV Personality from OWN Music was provided by the 2-2-5 Uptown Band. Sponsors of the event included Dothan Housing Authority, Alabama State Chamber of Commerce, SBDC Alabama Auburn, Wells Fargo Bank, Dream Center, and the NAACP Economic Development Program.
There were over 100 attendees, including chamber members, speakers, and participants from around the Wiregrass Area. Each vendor had an opportunity to share who they where and what they had to offer. Some of the participants joined the Black Chamber of Commerce. The overall event was truly a success and we look forward to having another one in the near future.
